Restaurant Package Design Due Date ___________
Abstracts/Specs: A. Utilizing all the skills and techniques that you have learned so far to Design & Create packaging designs for a gift card and for a To-go-box for the restaurant from your previous project. Utilize your logo, graphic elements, typography, and colors that were set in your last project. Use feedback from the last critique to improver your designs for this project. Research what restaurants are using for Gift card packaging and how there To-go-boxes are designed. Evaluate the creativity and functionality of their designs, and compare how they would work for your current client. When creating packaging for food, try to utilized designs than use little or no glue and minimal ink, also keep in mind how the box will be stored and how functional will it be. Start with thumbnails, and then refine for roughs and comps. Create a Die line for gift card package. Remember to use bleeds correctly when required. Build all graphics in print ready color modes. If you use photos, make sure they are hi resolution. Turn in a mock up sample of packaging, mounted work displaying die lines, and packaged files burned onto a CD that contains all fonts, links, and pdfs of your work. Remember to Label all submitted material with your first and last name.
