Resource use and generation / Partnership and Collaboration Ban the Box Campaign was launched in the year 2004 to challenge the discrimination that is being faced by people with prior convictions particularly for drug crimes when it comes to seeking employment and housing, and when it comes to applying for loans, services and other benefits. A campaign cannot stand for a very long period of time without the support of the federal government and private employers from various cities, counties and states. The campaign had been running for more or less 14 years now. As of the moment over 45 cities and counties have supported and removed the portion wherein an applicant is questioned regarding his/her conviction history when it comes to applications for employment. Ban the Box Campaign is a campaign that was spearheaded by an advocacy group called “All of Us or None”, it is an organization that fights for the rights of imprisoned people and their family in order to strengthen their voices.
