RESOLUTION 2002 19

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FLAGLER BEACH

FLORIDA

FINDING THE DOWNTOWN AREA TO BE A BLIGHTED AREA FINDING

THAT

REHABILITATION

CONSERVATION

OR

REDEVELOPMENT OF THE AREA IS NECESSARY IN THE INTEREST OF PUBLIC HEALTH SAFETY MORALS OR WELFARE OF RESIDENTS

TaECITY

DECLARING THE CITY COMMISSION TO BE THE

COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE AREA AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS the

City Commission

of the

City of Flagler Beach is concerned about the

appearance and commercial viability of the downtown area of Flagler Beach and wishes to utilize all available prudent measures to address this concern and WHEREAS the

City Commission of Flagler Beach accepts the findings attached finding the downtown area to be blighted due to deteriorating building conditions deteriorating infrastructure and improvements deficient public parking insufficient public facilities criminal activity and fire code violations and hereto
