PREFECE Theoretical study is the body of BBA & practical training is the soul of body of BBA without soul the body is nothing. Hence, practical training is more useful & plays role as soul of body for BBA student. Training is developing environment of industry & business practically in BBA student .with study of theory there is necessary to doing practical training for more developing of ideas. Practical training increases our knowledge & skill about business & management. As a part of our study I have prepared a project report with a view to developing ideas or knowledge. HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMPANY

Regent Granito (India) Ltd. has got a hi- tech plant, located at himatnagar, 70 kms away from ahmedbad. This state of the art plant has capacity to produce approx. 14000 sq .mt of vitrified tiles everyday. Regent has got all world class technologies from different parts of the globe available for ceramic industries. Regent has started manufacturing 605mm x 605mm size of vitrified tiles in 2004 which was also equipped by 4280 MT Hydraulic Press, Longest Kiln at that time and superior policing machine. Now Regent has added manufacturing capacity by installing world's latest innovative technology which is going to produce 990mm x 990mm and worlds biggest slab size tile 2100mm x 1000mm. We have got specially designed and developed hydraulic press PH6200 and multi layer fast drying machine from SACMI Italy. This machine is supported by longest roller kiln, which is 200 MT long and 48 head policing line. Now Regent has become only manufacturer of 2100mm x 1000mm size of vitrified tile in the world. This product is capable to replace natural marble and granite product across the globe. Regent it committed to supply best quality of tiles in the Indian and overseas market and it is already proven in Indian market for last three years. And now with the new blend of technologies we will be much stronger in the market to supply quality and innovative tiles.

Regent Granito Tiles Ltd is the one of the largest manufacturer of the vitrified tiles and also cover major portion of total production of this kind of units. Regent plays major role in total industrial production. For that it needs much more raw material and also all production resources. As it is manufacturing large so it need much more amount of investment so it need millions of rupees to be invested. So it is a large scale company.

It is based on the management theories and also applies the cetire management concept I their department. Today Regent Granito Tiles Ltd is private company but soon it is going to be converted in to the public ltd company.

A price is the amount of money customer has to pay to obtain the distribution allowances payment period and credit terms. Pricing governs the very feasibility of any marketing programmes because it is the only element in a marketing mix accounting for demand as well as income. Pricing is the most important function of the company because it effects the position of the company in the share market. The other elements in marketing mix are promotion, distribution and cost. Price must equal to the amount of benefits. Any company can decide its pricing policy by adopting any of the following methods. (1).DEMAND BASED PRICE. (2).COST BASED PRICE. (3).CONCEPTION BASED PRICE. We know that to decide the price of a product is very difficult for manager but Regent Granito adopt very easy process for selecting price. Regent granite used cost based pricing Policy, when the price of raw materials is increased, the price of the product of this company will also increase. By this way the company decides the price of product.

Price also affected by segmentation. VITRIF IED (605 x 605 MM) Regent vitrified tiles are made with high purity raw material and fired at high temperature to give very low water. Absorption (less than 0.05 percentages) and white of white colored body. They are homogeneous and have exceptionally high mechanical properties like the strength, abrasion resistance, stain resistance, chemical and frost resistance and scratch resistance station. The raw materials comes from Kutch, saurastra and also from other local market. The gas prvided by government from ONGC(GOVT.) The electricity provided by Gujarat electricity board.

TECHNOLOGY AND MACHINARY

Biggest Ball Mill Ball mill is used to mix the different raw material to make the homogenous slip for the spray drier. The capacity of the ball mill is 32 tons raw material, 16 tons of water, 45 tons of 85%alumina peebles. The milling hour is 6 hours to give the homogenized slurry for the spray drier. Generally the composistion of the raw material is white fired ball clay(ukraine ball clay) imported from Russia, quartz of 99% Silica, Potash feldspar of 12% to 14% Alkalies, Soda feldspar of 12% to 14% alkalies,strengthening agent,china clay, body stains imported from Itaca Spain. We are having total 6 Ball Mills, so the daily production of slurry is more than 300 tons.

Largest Roller Kiln Kiln is generally used to vitrify the dried tile to give final size and the fired properties like final shape, size, water absorption, less porosity, color, stain resistance, fired strength. The tiles are fired to 1200 Co with a soaking time of 8 min in 1200 Co.with 58 cycles, the production is around 8500 m2/day. The Sacmi Kiln is imported from Spain of 185 metre lenth with working area of 2.65 metre.

Polishing Line Polishing machine makes the tiles completely surface flat with glossines of greater than 75 gloss value. The machine consists of pre squaring machine, calibrating machine of 12 heads to make the surface completely flat, than passes to the polishing heads consisting of 38 polishing heads to give the glossiness. Step by step reaching final 75 gloss value, the tile than passes to final squaring & champering machine to give the perfect squared tile with jointless lying. The machine is imported from Kexinda China consisting of pre squaring machine, calibrating machine consisting of 12 heads, 38 polishing heads, final squaring machine. The production of the machine is greater than 9500 m2 per day

Pressing machine The main function of the Press is to give the shape of tile from the granules. The tile is compacted using ph 6200 hydraulic press with a specific pressure of 360 kg/cm2. The green tile is passed through a 5 layer horizontal to remove the residual moisture uniformly & also to give dry strength so the tile is able to move in the glazing line.

The press is ph 6200 Sacmi Press imported from Spain and the no of cavity is 3 tiles. The press cycle is 6 cycle/min i.e 9500 m2 per day.

It is process of measuring varied qualification intellectual and versatility of an employee. For an organization for the information it provides is highly usefully in making decision regarding various increasing. Regent Granito ltd, the results of individual department are seen by company and given point to employee in this stale performance appraisal system is using by the company. EMPLOYEE’S FACILITES The company gives various facilities to the employees. There facilities are given on normal rate. There facilities are given as under:  Canteen facilities  Helmet  Medical facilities  Provident Fund Facilities  Residential Facility  Uniform  Bonus

1. Canteen facilities: There is central canteen which is outside the factory premises. Lunch, Tea, Coffee facility is provided with reasonable rate to all the employees. Company’s officer, they also take lunch with employees only so this also works as integrity and harmony in employees. 2. Medical facilities They do not have dispensary in their organization but they have a provision of this facility like first aid box. In major accident they send their employees to nearest hospital. 3. Provident Fund Facility. Company provides 12% of the monthly salary and a part of it is kept aside. 4. Residential Facility Company also provides housing facilities to its members. The fifty rooms of quarter for employees.

5. Uniform Regent Granito provides uniform facility and it’s compulsory for every employee to wear uniform. Their uniforms are double coated and they are chemical resistant to some extent also. 6. Bonus. A bonus is given to the employees during festivals like DEEPAVALI. Bonus is given in the form of sweets, gifts, and other things are distributed among the employees. 7. Helmet Helmet is compulsory to employees and also to visitors. For both of the parties helmet is provided by the company only.

TRAINING:Training is a process of during a sequence of programmed behaviors. Training aims at increasing the attitude, skill and ability of workers to perform specific job persons however capable and competent cannot do his best at job unless methods of work. Development refers to a long term process consisting education base development is systematic process other than training for managerial person development is systematic and organized procedure by which managerial personal learn conceptual and heretical knowledge development is indirectly connected with philosophical educational concepts. There are also many methods of “Regent Granito Pvt Ltd”. Like case study, role playing, business game method, incident method and merit method.

PROMOTION AND TRANSFER PROMOTION:-

It is important method to compromise the level of organization. It is bases on seniority. By promotion employee is transfer from lower job to higher job by increasing his authority responsibility, salary and status.

The transfer policy of the “Regent Granito Pvt Ltd.” is a permanent employee can get promotion after good experience with good report of service. They are giving promotion on the bases of merits and they are giving promotion as par requirement.

TRANSFER:Transfer refers to movement of candidates from one job to another job one place to another place. Any department in transfer employ’s salary status and responsibility are not charge but to more job satisfaction to teach more and more to his employee etc. The “Regent Granito Pvt Ltd” makes transfer to one employee as per requirement but in special case they are making transfer of one employee in the form of punishment.

JOB DISCRIPTION Job description is the of the process of job evaluation. It is the written summery of given job of he circumstantial various rights responsibilities and organization relations.
