SPECIFIC BODY INJURIES: 1) Eye injuries 2) Nose injuries 3) Dental injuries 4) Impaled injuries 5) Amputations 6) Sucking chest wound 7) Abdominal injuries Triage ➢ a process use in sorting patients into categories Simple Triage and Rapid treatment ➢ one method of triage that has been proven to be effective Triage officer ➢ highest ranking officer TAGGING OF PATIENT: 1. Red Tag/ First Priority ➢ Patients with airway, bleeding or neurologic problems 2. Yellow Tag/ Second Priority ➢ Patients that can be delayed up to 1hour 3. Green Tag/ Third Priority ➢ minor wounds 4. Black Tag ➢ Dead or near-death patients
