Visualiser – Year 2 (R.E and Art) The lesson objective: to be able to make an animation about the Hindu Divali story of Rama and Sita. WILF: I can make plastercine figurines for the characters in the story. • I can sequence the story in the correct order. • I can use the characters to tell a story. • I can use animation to celebrate an important religious story.

How the visualiser was used: Each child made their own character from plastercine. The children then used the capture button on the visualiser to take snap shots of the characters. Then they moved the positions of the characters. The captured images were saved and placed into windows movie maker to complete the animation sequence. The benefits of the visualiser: • The layout of the visualiser is simply so the children were able to operate it without assistance once they had been shown. • Since the visualiser is linked to the IWB. The children were able to watch a magnified version of their fine-detailed plastercine manipulation.
