Speaking

Objective

To help students practice asking questions and answering questions playing a fun game of speed and memory.

Materials

Worksheet, scissors.

Preparation

Make copies of the worksheet, one per group of two.

Time

Ten - fifteen minutes.

Procedure

1. Separate your class into twos. Give one copy of the worksheet to each pair. 2. Distribute some scissors and have the students cut up the question word cards. You may want to help the younger ones. 3. Then, have your students mix up their cards and place them upside down on the table. 4. One at a time, a student will turn over two cards. If they match, they must make a grammatically correct question and answer that uses that question word. If they can do it, they hold on to those two cards.

Notes and comments

If you have a really large class, you could put them into teams of two. One student will ask the question and one student will answer.
