Airmanship is a study of rules and regulation which must be followed both on the ground and in the air to ensure safety and proper discipline in flying.

Importance- 1. Airmanship includes the sense of discipline amongst pilot and other crew members. 2.It helps the pilot to know the standard procedure laid down for the airfield on which he is operating. 3.It helps the pilot to know the procedure to be followed in emergency situation. 4.It promotes flight safety & preventing aircraft accidents. 5.Good airmanship ensures a pilot at his best in case of emergency. 2. The airfield refers to an area of land used for takeoff and landing of aircraft and excludes building and installations.
