Row 7: Yo, p3 tog, yo, CB8, yo, p3 tog, yo, CB16, k8, yo, p3 tog, yo, CB8, yo, p3 tog, yo. Rows 9, 11, 13 and 15: Yo, p3 tog, yo, k8, yo, p3 tog, yo, k24, yo, p3 tog, yo, k8, yo, p3 tog, yo. BACK With smaller straight needles, cast on 106(114-126-134-142) sts. Ribbing: Row 1 (RS): K2, * p2, k2, rep from * across. Row 2: P2, * k2, p2, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 4” from beg, end on RS. Change to larger needles and p the next row, dec 24(24-2626-24) sts evenly spaced across – 82(90-100-108-118) sts. Work even in St st until piece measures 17 1/2” from beg, end on WS. Shape Armholes: Bind off 4(4-4-5-6) sts at beg of the next 2 rows – 74(82-92-98106) sts. Dec 1 st each side every RS row 3(3-5-6-8) times – 68(76-82-86-90) sts. Work even until armholes measure 8(8 1/2-8 1/2-9-9 1/2)”, end on WS. Shape Shoulders: Bind off 7(9-11-12-13) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then 7(910-11-12) sts at beg of the next 2 rows. Sl remaining 40 sts to holder for back neck.

FRONT Work same as back until piece measures 4”, end on RS – 106(114-126-134-142) sts. Change to larger needles. Dec Row (WS): P25(29-35-39-43) decreasing 3(3-4-4-3) sts evenly spaced across, place marker, p56 decreasing 4 sts evenly spaced across, place marker, p to end decreasing 3(3-4-4-3) sts evenly spaced across – 96(104-114-122-132) sts. Establish Cable Pat: Row 1 (RS): K to first marker, work Row 1 of Cable Pat to next marker, k to end.

Row 2: P to first marker, work Row 2 of Cable Pat to next marker, p to end. Work even in pat as established until piece measures 14 1/2(15-15-15 1/2-16)” from beg, end on WS. Shape V-Neck: Next Row (RS): Work 47(51-56-60-65) sts, sl center 2 sts onto holder, join another ball of yarn and work to end. Working both sides at once, dec 1 st at each neck edge every RS row 21 times, then every other RS row 5 times. AT THE SAME TIME, when piece measures 17 1/2” from beg (before all neck decs have been completed), shape armholes same as back. When all armhole and neck decs have been completed, work even on 14(18-21-23-25) sts each side until armholes measure 8(8 1/2-8 1/2-9-9 1/2)”, end on WS. Shape Shoulders: Bind off 7(9-11-12-13) sts at each armhole edge once, then 7(910-11-12) sts once.

FINISHING Sew shoulder seams. Neckband: With RS facing, using circular needle, beg at left shoulder, pick up and k70 sts along left front neck edge, place marker, k2 sts from holder, place marker, pick up and k70 sts along right front neck edge, then k40 sts from holder increasing 2 sts evenly spaced across – 184 sts. Mark for beg of rnd and carry marker up. Rnd 1: K2, * p2, k2, rep from * to 2 sts before 1st marker, work 2 tog, sl marker, k2, sl marker, work 2 tog, p2, ** k2, p2, rep from ** to end – 182 sts. Rep this rnd until band measures 2”. Bind off in ribbing, dropping markers. Armbands: With RS facing, using smaller straight needles, pick up and k118(122122-126-130) sts around entire armhole edge. Beg with Row 2, work in ribbing same as back for 1 1/2”, end on WS. Bind off in ribbing. Sew side and armband seams.
