ANSWER: - The basic problem of the firm is increasing cost of transportation Increasing leads time in transaction because of that they were unable to meet with demands which leads to lesser sales. One big problem was that they were unable in taking fully utilization of transportation another basic problem in AICEL is downturn to the sales. One more problem which I suppose is the poor co-ordination between all the departments. One Biggest problem of AICEL is

that

they

were

unable

to

doing

forcost

of

demand/sale/needs of row material etc which leads to make them unable in to meet with demands. Situation responsible for the problem is the co-ordination between all the departments, Bad forcost and increase in transportation cost which leads to non- delivery of goods on

scheduled time. All this points responsible for downturn of the sales in AICEL.

QUESTION:2- What should Kashi Nath do? ANSWER: - Mr. Kashi Nath must make flow chart of different stages of transportation and ultimately find out the loop hole. As the increase in the transportation cost control is not in their hand. Mr. Kashi Nath should see whether they are using the transportation system with the full utilization or not and he should also see whether the route which are being taken for transportation are right or not. He should make a forcost team with the help of this company can order row material on the right time at the right cost. With the help of this company can meet demand/sales & can reduce transportation cost by right utilization of transportation. QUESTION:3- Should Kashi Nath suggest an L&SC manger? If yes, how can an integrated system be developed to minimize total logistics cost? ANSWER: - Yes Mr. Kashi Nath should suggest to L & SC department manager. In my view, problem can be solved by full automation and Co-ordination programme among the

entire department. Mr. Kashi Nath can use the best technology for the fully integrated application. An application can be programmed in such a way that need of stock is there when some units are already in stock. It can be forecasted according to the days of transportation and the days utilization of that stock.
