PROJECT ANDREW – OUR EVANGELISTIC TARGETS
YOUNG ADULT CELLS SEPTEMBER 2006
PROJECT ANDREW – PART 3 I. Introduction In last week lesson, we talked about the FAITH Strategy that we are adopting to win our friends to the Lord. In time to come, the Young Adult Ministry will primarily consists of 4 categories of people: 1) Polytechnics and ITE Students 2) University Students 3) National Service Personnel 4) Young Working Adults To provide more focus, it is biblical to target specific groups of people for evangelism. It is for effectiveness, not exclusivity. Consider the following Scriptures in the right-hand column. Do you agree with the statement: “No single church can possibly reach everyone. It takes all kinds of churches to reach all kinds of people.”
II.
Member’s Notes Objective: At the end of this lesson, will be able to: 1. Know who are evangelistic targets. 2. Finalize and pray for coming Evangelistic Meeting (ECM).

Jesus: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” – Matt 15:24 Paul: “I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the Gentiles, just as Peter had been to the Jews.” Gal 2:7
Our Evangelistic Targets
In order to define our target, we have to look firstly looked at ourselves and asked what kind of people we have in our congregation. The second question to ask is what kind of people we are best able to reach. After studying the demographics of our congregation and the prevalent culture and spirituality of the people around us, the leadership team of the Young Adult Ministry has adopted the following 2 two groups of people as our evangelistic targets.
Our Primary Evangelistic Target: Campus Carrie – The Typical Young Schooling Adult

Note: Please read through the descriptions of both Campus Carrie and Working Wally and see if an accurate picture of our friends and the people we are best able to reach. Discussion: What do you think of both our primary and secondary evangelistic targets? Are they an accurate descriptor of the kind of persons that we are trying to reach and can reach?
Why do you think we have a primary and a secondary evangelistic target?
How does the National Service group fit into the above two pictures?
VI. Conclusion Finalized the number and names of your friends coming for the Evangelistic Cell Event next week.
