Purpose of the product The BEKI-RY will offer the customer some bite sized baked products for them to enjoy on Lasallian Week. The products that we are going to sell are Chocolate Chip Cookies and Brownies.
Product’s Unique Features We are the one who will bake the cookies and the brownies; also, our baked products wil bite sized.
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE (DROP) Yield: 3-4 dozens Ingredients: 300 g all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp refined salt 225 g butter, room temp 120 g white sugar 250 g dark brown sugar 2 tsp vanilla 2 large eggs 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chunks Wax paper Procedures: 1. Preheat oven at 375°F. Grease and line baking sheets with wax paper. 2. Combine all-purpose flour, salt and baking soda. Sift twice in a bowl. 3. Cream butter with white and dark brown sugar for 5 minutes. Add the eggs and beat until creamy. 4. Add both sugars, salt and vanilla. Stir with a wooden spoon. 5. Using a wooden spoon, add the flour mixture by spoonful. 6. Stir in chocolate chips. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour before portioning. 7. Portion by spoon. 8. Arrange 2 inches apart in baking sheet. DON’T OVERLOAD THE PANS. 9. Bake cookies until the edges of the cookies turn golden brown, about 10-14 minutes only. Centers should remain soft. 10. Cool cookies completely before removing from pans with a spatula.
COCOA BROWNIES Yield: 100+ bars Ingredients: 2 bars 4 cups 8 pcs 1 tbsp 1 & 1/3 cup 2 cups 1/2 tsp 1 tsp 1 cup Wax paper Fudge Frosting: 2-3 tbsp ½ bar 2 cups ½ cup Decors:
Butter fresh margarine, melted refined sugar eggs vanilla premium cocoa all-purpose flour salt baking powder cashew nuts, chopped
hot water butter powdered sugar premium cocoa mini-marsh mallows or chopped cashew nuts
Procedures for Brownies: 1. Preheat oven at 350 degree F. 2. Grease the 10x10x2 square pan. Line with paper. 3. Combine melted butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. 4. Sift together cocoa, APF, salt and baking powder. Add to the wet ingredients. Whisk until smooth. Fold in chopped cashew nuts. 5. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until done. 6. Remove brownies from pan. Peel off the baking paper. Procedures for Frosting: 7. Sift together powdered sugar and cocoa. 8. Melt butter in a thick saucepan and add water. 9. Add the cocoa mixture gradually while whisking the mixture. Lightly beat the ingredients over medium heat until it becomes smooth and spreadable.
