PVI SR RACK

1) OPEN CARTON BOX – CHECK SERIAL NUMBER OUTSIDE AND ON THE BOTTOM YOU WILL NEED TO MATCH IT AGAIN WHEN YOU WILL PUT THE PRODUCT BACK IN THE BOX AT THE END OF THE ASSEMBLY SO THE CABLES AND ACCESSORIES WHICH ARE IN THE BOX WILL MATCH AGAIN THE PRODUCT MODEL CORRECTLY

SERIAL CON CARTON MUST ALWAYS MATCH SERIAL ON PRODUCT

2) REMOVE TOP COVER

3) REMOVE PANEL HANDLES ( IF HANDLES ARE ALREADY REMOVED, SKIP THIS STEP )

4) UNSCREW AND DETACH THE FRONT PANEL

5) DISCONNECT PANLE FLAT CABLE

C) PULL IF NEEDED, USE AGAIN THE SCREW DRIVER ON SIDES IN THE CONNECTOR WINDOW TO LIFT THE INTERNAL CONNECTOR B) LIFT FROM SIDE WINDOW DO NOT PULL THE FROM INTERNAL THE CONNECTOR CABLE TOUSING AVOIDA SMALL SCREW CONDUCTORS DRIVER A) CUT DAMAGES THE TIE

6) SEARCH FOR PANEL HANDLES SCREWS AND PARTS AND REMOVE IT FLIP THE UNIT IF NEEDED, AND MAKE SURE THERE THERE ARE NO SCREWS OR LOSE PARTS LEFT INSIDE THAT COULD MAKE ELECTRIC DAMAGES

REMOVE SCREWS AND ANY LOSE PARTS

REMOVE SCREWS AND ANY LOSE PARTS

FLIP AND SHAKE IF NECESSARY

7) UNSCREW THE REAR PANEL

REMOVE BOLTS & WASHER FROM THE 2 FTYPE CONNECTORS

POSITION THE NEW POWER PANEL

PUT BACK SCREW AND WASHERS/BOLTS

8) GLUE THE INTERNAL BOARDS CONNECTORS

PUSH-IN THE CARDS

HOT GLUE THE CONNECTORS

THE CARDS’ CONNECTORS ARE BOTH HOT-GLUED

9) INSTAL THE NEW REAR PANEL THE CURRENT UNIT MIGHT HAVE ONE OR TWO CARDS OF DIFFERENT MODELS ANY COMBINATION IS POSSIBLE, JUST FIND THE MATCHING PANEL FOR EACH SLOT IF A SLOT IS EMPTY, USE THE BLANC PANEL WITH ONLY THE ETHERNET HOLE

CONTINUE THIS STEP ON NEXT PAGE >>>>>>> A) MATCH THE PANELS YOU NEED TWO ONE 2 HDMI 4 BNC HDMI BNC EXAMPLE EXAMPLE CARDS + 1 EMPTY EXAMPLE EXAMPLE

ANY OTHER COMBINATION IS POSSIBLE

B) POSITION THE PANELS IN PLACE

C) FIX THE PANELS WITH THE 4 SCREWS

D) PUT BACK WASHERS / BOLTS / SCREWS DEPENDING FROM THE TYPE EACH BNC HAS WASHER + BOLT

THE HDMI RCA MODEL REQUIRES 2 SCREWS CONNECTORS MUST BE CENTERED TO THE HOLES BY PUSHING THEM DOWN AS NEEDED

10) INSTALL THE EHTERNET CONNECTORS POSITION 2 CONNECTORS AS PER THE PICTURE WATCH DIRECTION AND POLARITY !

HOT GLUE THE CONNECTOR AS PER THE PICTURE

PLUG ALL THE WAY IN THE GLUED CONNECTOR SO IT STOPS WHEN TOUCHES THE PANEL. HOLD PROPERLY IN POSITION UNITL THE HOT GLUE IS STABLE

THE HOT GLUE ATTACHES THE CONNECTOR TO THE CHASSIS ON THE TOP, AND THE SIDES GLUE TOUCHES THE PANEL, MAKING THE CONNECTOR HOLD VERY STRONG

AS RESULT, THE TWO CONNECTORS MUST LOOK THE SAME FROM THE OUTSIDE SAME DISTANCE OUT FROM THE PANEL, GOOD LOOKING

14) DETACH COMPONENTS AND CABLES FROM THE OLD PANEL

USE A FLAT SCRE DRIVER IN THE CONNECTOR WINDOWS ON SIDE TO PUSH UP DO NOT PULL FROM THE CABLE TO AVOID CABLE DAMAGES

KEEP THE SCREWS TO REMOUNT THE NEW PANEL

15) REMOVE THE PLASTIC GLASS FROM THE DISPLAY

16) REMOVE LEDS FROM THE KEYBOARD MODULE IMPORTANT : CUT ONLY FROM THE SIDE AS ON THE PICTURE TO AVOIC DAMAGES TO THE PCB TRACKS !!!!!!!!

17) PREPARE THE LDC CABLE EXTENDED, REMOVING THE CABLE LOCKS

18) ASSEMBLY THE NEW FRONT PANEL

A) INSERT THE DISPLAY IN THE ALUMINUM PANEL

B) POSITION THE INTERNAL SUPPORT PANEL

C) SCREW TIGHT THE DISPLAY WITH 4 SCREWS ( FROM THE PREVIOUS PANEL )

D) USE ANOTHER 2 SCREWS FOR THE CENTER OF THE PANEL

E) FIX THE INTERNAL PANEL TO THE EXTERNAL PANEL WITH A CONE SCREW

SO IT IS FLAT WHEN COMPLETELY SCREWED

F) MAKE THE SAME ON THE OTHER SIDE WITH ANOTHER CONE SCREW

G) PREPARE THE LED MODULE

G1) CUT THE SECOND PIN FROM THE TOP ON BOTH LAYERS – SEE THE JUMPER TRACK

BOTH PIN #2 FROM THE TOP ARE CUT

G2) BENT AND CROSS THE TWO PIN #1 NEAR THE CUT PINS

G3) SOLDER THE 2 CROSSED PINS

G4) CUT THE EXCEEDING PIN OUT OF THE SOLDERING

G5) THE LED MODULE HAS NOW A SOLDERED CROSS N TOP AND THE SECOND PINS ARE CUT FROM TOP

H) INSTALL THE LED MODULE USE LED MODULES PREPARED WITH THE CUT PINS AND THE SOLDERED JUMPER

REMOVE THE ADESIVE PROTECTION

PASS-THROUGH THE CONNECTOR/FLAT IN THE PANEL

POSITION THE LED MODULE INSIDE THE PANEL CAVE

ATTACH THE LED MODULE TO THE PANEL INSIDE THE SPECIFIC CAVE

I) INSTALL THE KEYBOARD CONNECT THE FLAT CABLE OF THE KEY/DISPLAY TO THE DISPLAY SIDE AS ON THIS PICTURE

HOT GLUE THE DISPLAY CONNECTOR ON BOTH SIDES

INSERT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DISPLAY FLAT TO THE KEYBOARD

HOT GLUE THE CONNECTOR SIDE ON THE KEYBOARD

INSTALL THE KEYBOARD ON THE PANEL AND FIX IT TIGHT WITH THE SCREWS

INSTALL THE RUBBER BUTTONS

POSITION THE RUBBER SO EVERY BUTTON FITS INTO ITS RUBBER HOLE

PRESS EACH BUTTON TO VERIFY THE RUBBER IS IN PLACE AND EVERY BUTTON WORKS

INSTALL THE PLEXIGLASS COVER ON THE KEYBOARD

REMOVE THE ADESIVE PROTECTION FILM FROM THE KEYBOARD PLEXIGLASS

INSTALL THE KEYBOARD PLEXIGLASS MAKING SURE EVERY BUTTON IS PROPERLY

PASSING AND OPERATING THROUGH THE KEYPAD COVER

THE PANEL IS COMPLETE THE DISPLAY PLEXIGLASS WILL BE INSTALLED LATER

11) INSTALLING THE PANEL ON THE CHASSIS USE 2x FLAT PATCH CORDS

CONNECT THE TWO CABLES ONE PER EACH ETHERNET PORT MAKE SURE TO PUSH THE CONNECTORS ALL THE WAY IN AND HEAR THE LOCK “ CLICK “

CONNECT THE 2 ETHERNET CABLES

PASS THE 2 ETHERNET CABLES BETWEEN THE PANEL AND THE RIBBON

POSITION THE PANEL TO THE FRONT OF THE CHASSIS AND PULL OUT THE LED FLAT

ATTACH THE PANEL TO THE CHASSIS VIA 2 INTERNAL SCEWS ON TOP LEFT AND RIGHT

FLIP THE EQUIPMENT AND ADD THE 3 SCREWS ON BOTTOM

21) CONNECTING THE MAINBOARD FLAT CABLE

PULL THE MAINBOARD FLAT CABLE AND TWIST IT TO THE LEFT

KEEP THE FLAT TWISTED AND CONNECT THE FLAT CONNECTOR TO THE KEYBOARD

FOLD THE FLAT TO THE LEFT AS PER THE PICTURE

USE A 26 PIN CONNECTOR – OPEN IT IN 2 PARTS

POSITION THE LOCK PART OF THE CONNECTOR ON THE EDGE OF THE RIBBON

ADD THE CONNECTOR PART AND CLOSE BACK THE TWO PARTS TOGETHER

USE THE CRIMP TOOL TO CLOSE THE CONNECTOR PAY ATTENTION THE CONNECTOR PINS ARE ALLIGNED TO THE WIRES

THE CONNECTOR IS PERFECTLY CRIMPED

INSERT THE LED MODULE CONNECTOR INTO THE NEW CONNECTOR THE SOLDERED JUMPER AND THE CUT PINS STAYS OUTSIDE THE FIRST PINS GOES IN THE FIRST HOLES OF THE CONNECTOR

USE ELECTRONIC TAPE TO SECURE AND PROTECT THE TWO CONNECTOR THE SOLDERED PIN IS +5VOLTS SO MAKE SURE IT IS WELL INSULATED AND CANNOT CANNOT TOUCH THE PANEL OR THE COVER

ADD A DOT OF HOT GLUE IN THE FIRST FOLD OF THE FLAT

HOLD THE FOLD CLOSED SO THE HOT GLUE CAN ATTACH THE TWO PARTS

ADD A DOT OF HOT GLUE IN THE TOP FOLD

HOLD THE FOLD CLOSED SO THE HOT GLUE CAN ATTACH THE TWO PARTS

ADD A DOT OF HOT GLUE BETWEEN THE TOP ANDF THE BOTTOM FOLDS

HOLD THE FOLD CLOSED SO THE HOT GLUE CAN ATTACH THE TWO PARTS

THE FLAT WILL STAY FLODED AND WILL NOT PREVENT THE AIRFLOW TO FLOW CORRECTLY THROUGH THE CHIPS AS THE FLAT CABLE WILL NOT GO IN WRONG POSITIONS

22) CONNECT THE ETHERNET CABLES ALLIGN THE ETHERNET CABLES

CONNECT LEFT TO THE REAR LEFT AND RIGHT TO THE REAR RIGHT AS ON THE PICTURE

POSITION THE CABLES AS ON THE PICTURE AND PUT 3 TIES

IF THE UNIT IS A LONG RACK UNIT, THE ETHERNETS MUST DUN THIS WAY :

23)TEST CONNECT THE POWER AND CHECK IF ALL THE LEDS TURNS ON AS ON THE PICTURE

CHECK IF THE DISPLAY WORKS

WAIT THE SOFTWARE BOOT IS COMPLETE, THEN CLICK ON THE EN/SAVE BUTTON ON THE RIGHT OF THE KEYBOARD TO CHECK IF THE DISPLAY ENTERS THE MENU IF ANY TEST FAILS, PLEASE CHECK THE FLAT CABLES

24) INSTALL THE TOP COVER

USE THE SILVER COLOR CROSSHEAD SCREWS

CLEAN WITH A WATER-HUMID SOFT CLOTH, THEN PUT BACK IN THE CARTON BOX, MATCHING THE SERIAL ON THE BOTTOM OF THE UNIT WITH THE SERIAL ON THE CARTON BOX, WHERE ALL THE ORIGINAL ACCESSORIES AND CABLES ARE
