His Highness Prince Amyn Aga Khan Appeal to His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan & Prince Amyn Aga Khan

JUSTICE DENIED I have already sent several emails to The Press Officer, The Information Department, Aiglemont, 60270 Gouvieux, FRANCE regarding Habib Bank Fraud and Forgery initiated in the year 2000 in which Habib Bank staff at Thatta and Hyderabad, Pakistan have falsely implicated me by forging my signatures and tampering with the original Agriculture Loan Documents. They presented these forged and tampered documents in which I was shown as a Guarantor for the Loan on the contrary to the fact that I was only a witness to the Banking Court and I was served with legal notices, my name appeared as a defaulter in newspapers, I was defamed and maligned by Habib Bank staff. They hoodwinked the Court for 8 years and are now asking the Banking Court to dismiss the case as it is time barred. My lawyer has presented latest Supreme Court rulings where it clearly states that in case of suspicion of fraud and forgery, the case must be heard, issues framed, witnesses called and original documents presented in the court for forensic examination. Why did I keep quiet for so long. The reason is absolutely clear. The partner involved in the farm loan and default belonged to the ‘Jatoi’ feudal family with 2-3 Senators, MPA’s and MNA’s in the ruling government. Their Uncle, Liaquat Ali Khan Jatoi had held the post of Chief Minister of Sindh and The Federal Minister for Power in the previous Government. I was clearly told not to open my mouth or else I would be put in jail and several cases would be registered against me and even though I know that everyone has to die one day and I am never afraid, their talk and actions were clear enough. The Jatois threatened me of dire consequences. I had no other choice but to keep quiet about the whole affair. Habib Bank top brass in Pakistan are now trying to influence the Banking Court’s decision in their favour. I request you earnestly to look into this matter personally and I only seek JUSTICE. I have lost my land, my share of the profits for the last 7 years, my name has been splashed all over the papers, I have been defrauded, humiliated and shamed. Please, please help resolve this issue.

Details of the whole case, documents, correspondence, proof of forgery, audio recordings etc. have been uploaded to my website @ www.healthpk.com. My other work website is www.aquatechpk.com Khalid Memon

JUSTICE DENIED Statement by His Excellency Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, at the Die Quadriga Award Ceremony (Berlin, Germany) 03 October 2005

“I am unsure where to begin to describe this great citizen of the world. Aga Khan the humanist, the peace-builder, the democrat, the philanthropist or an esteemed ambassador between civilisations. His Highness the Aga Khan is a tireless humanist whose views and beliefs are employed for the service of people and in the true expression of humanity. In pursuit of his vision, His Highness has drawn upon the views and thoughts of the great scholar and poet of Afghanistan, Nasir Khosraw Balkhi, as much as he has been influenced by the humanist philosophers of Europe. His Highness the Aga Khan the peace builder believes in co-existence which leads him to champion the dialogue of religions. His efforts to enhance harmony among followers of various faiths are especially noteworthy. Indeed, the basic tenets of all religions require that we work for peace and for justice. The future generations have the right to live in a better world – that world can only be secured through the vision and conscious efforts of the peace-builders of today.”

Speech by His Highness the Aga Khan “The centre will seek to foster legislation and policy to strengthen developing countries’ capacity for enhancing pluralism in all spheres of modern life: including law, justice, the arts, the media, financial services, health and education.”

AKFED “The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is a group of private development agencies working to empower communities and individuals, often in disadvantaged circumstances, to improve living conditions and opportunities, especially in Africa and Asia. The Network’s agencies work for the common good of all citizens, regardless of their gender, origin or religion and its underlying impulse is the ethic of compassion for the vulnerable in society.”
