WILL MS. WULSIN FOLLOW THE LEAD OF FELLOW DEMOCRAT AND RETURN RANGEL MONEY? And Day 4 - Wulsin Still Stonewalling On Financial Disclosure Questions Cincinnati, Ohio – Congresswoman Jean Schmidt’s campaign today questioned whether Vic Wulsin would follow the lead of her fellow Democrat Rep. Dave Loebsack (D-IA) and return the $4,000 in campaign contributions she has received from Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.). Rangel is currently under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for failing to properly report property he owned on his federally required financial disclosure forms. “Ms. Wulsin and Representative Rangel have much in common,” said Bruce Pfaff, Schmidt for Congress campaign spokesman. “If she fails to answer the serious outstanding questions related to her own personal financial disclosures, she will also be under investigation,” Pfaff added. Pfaff reiterated Schmidt’s call for her Democrat opponent to clean up her financial disclosure mess. “Last Friday we asked Ms. Wulsin to clean up her financial disclosure mess, but so far she has chosen to hide behind subterfuge and sling leftover mud from her 2006 campaign,” Pfaff said. Schmidt’s campaign said that Ms. Wulsin needs to answer the three questions they posed yesterday as well as tell voters if she will return Congressman Rangel’s tainted money. 1.) Why didn’t Vic Wulsin file the required financial disclosure report in 2005? 2.) Was she actually paid by the Heimlich Institute and how much was she paid for her review of experiments on humans in Africa and China? 3.) Why did Vic Wulsin fail to disclose her family’s ownership of an 1152 acre farm and rental property in Pike County before 2008 even though records show they have owned the property since 1993? -30Paid for by Schmidt for Congress Committee Not printed at government expense
