SCHMIDT SHOWS SHE IS CLEARLY MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE IN 2ND DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL RACE Schmidt for Congress Communications Director Bruce Pfaff issued the following statement on tonight's debate between Congresswoman Schmidt and her two opponents: ‘Tonight, Congresswoman Schmidt proved that there is only one candidate who has an understanding of the issues, vision and work ethic to lead. Jean Schmidt clearly won this debate. Her two opponents proved they lack the experience and ideas to represent the people of the 2nd Congressional District. Their dangerous and naive views on the economy were painfully evident versus Congresswoman Schmidt who was clear and direct. Congresswoman Schmidt's proven record of opposing higher taxes and wasteful government spending as well as connection to the people of the district stood out as examples of real leadership. Clearly, there was only one candidate on stage with experience and leadership and that was Congresswoman Jean Schmidt.”
