Pre-operating Activities Pre-operating activities are activities that will take place before the formal operation of the business. Project Feasibility Study Under this activity, it involves gathering information needed to assess whether the business is viable. It includes analyzing the marketing, technical, organizational, financial and socioeconomic. Determining whether the proposed business is not only possible but advantageous for the owner to undertake. Selection of Location This activity involves looking for the proper and suitable place for the proposed business. Processing of Permits and Licenses To be able to operate legally, the owner will need to secure permits and licenses from the City Hall and other licensing authority. Demolition of the Existing building This activity includes removal of the existing building situated in the selected location. Lay outing and Building Construction The size and the structure of the building will be based on the proposed design as specified in the lay out. The construction of the building must be in accordance with the National Building Code of the Philippines. Installation Activities

It includes the installation of the utilities and facilities such as water, electricity, and internet connection. Acquisition of Equipment and Furniture This activity involves purchasing of equipment and furniture needed in the proposed business as presented in the technical aspect of this study. This should be done before the business operates. Acquisition of Products for Grocery Haul The products for the grocery haul are purchased prior to the operation of the business. The products for the grocery will be purchased from the selected suppliers negotiated by the owner. Hiring of Employees This involves finding the qualified applicant to fill the positions needed in the operation of the proposed business. Then, the hired personnel will be oriented about their job description and the policies of the management. Advertising and promotion Prior to the formal opening, the business will be introduced to the general public and to its target market. Promotional activities of the business are discussed in the market aspect of this study. Start of the business operation After doing all the said activities, the business is now ready to operate.
