Prayer before Study

Creator of all things, true source of light and wisdom, origin of all being, graciously let a ray of your light penetrate the darkness of my understanding. Take from me the double darkness in which I have been born, an obscurity of sin and ignorance. Give me a keen understanding, a retentive memory, and the ability to grasp things correctly and fundamentally. Grant me the talent of being exact in my explanations and the ability to express myself with thoroughness and charm. Point out the beginning, direct the progress, and help in the completion. I ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. - Saint Thomas Aquinas, OP (patron of scholars) You see... When you are close to your breakthrough the enemy works at his very best to discourage you. He tries to keep you from walking into your blessing that God has in store for you. It's vital to know that the enemy cannot do anything that God has not permitted him to do. (ref: Job) 1 Peter 4:12-13 tells us, “Dear friends,

do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.” ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ The enemy wants to rob you from your joy and peace. He wants to kill you spiritually and physically. He tempts you, he causes sickness, attacks your mind, attacks your finances, uses people (even family members or friends) to provoke you to anger. He increases the tension level on your job to cause you to be irritated, stress, and frustrated hoping you will throw in the towel and give up in school, give up on your marriage, give up on your family, and give up on life. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." (Romans 8:37) Quit allowing the enemy to rob you from your destiny! Get some backbone and endure something. God didn't create weak minded Christians, He created soldiers! Get up, and arise with new favor, promotions, and blessings over your life. Quit doing everything on your own might and trust God; He is your strength. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Many of you have been sensing for a long time that something is suppose to happen in your life, in your body, in your ministry, on your job... You just know something is suppose to happen! People might think you're crazy or drunk because you lift your hands and clap your hands when there's no music, because you run when there's nobody chasing you. They don't understand you're celebrating your expectation! The devil is intimidated by you, that's why he's harassing you. He knows you're a threat to his plan; therefore, he'll try any tactic to get you off track but he won't win because you got what it takes! Your breakthrough is closer than you think. Don't quit!
