ADMISSION NOTIFICATION Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University invites applications for admission into courses conducted in the Centre for Distance Education. P.G. COURSES (1) M.A. Astrology : (TM&EM) (2 Yrs) Degree in any discipline. With basic knowledge in Astrology (2) M.A. Sanskrit (TM&EM) (2 Yrs) : Degree in any discipline with any one of the modern or traditional languages as second language or equivalent degree in Oriental Learning. Those who do not have second language in the degree have to be through in an eligibility test. (3) M.A. Telugu (2 Yrs) : Degree in any discipline with Telugu as a second language /optional or equivalent degree in Oriental Learning. Those who do not have second language shall have to be through in an eligibility test. (4) MCJ (Master of Communication and Journalism) (TM) (2 Yrs) : Degree in any discipline. (5) English Language Teaching (ELT) (2 Yrs) : Degree in any discipline with English as a subject. (6) M.A. Tourism Management (TM & EM ) (2 Yrs) : Degree in any discipline. DEGREE COURSES (7) B.A. Dance (3 Yrs) (TM) : Pass in Intermediate with basic knowledge in dance.Selection through an oral test. (8) B.A. Music (3 Yrs) (TM) : Pass in Intermediate with basic knowledge in music. Selection through an oral test. (9) B.A. Special Telugu (3 Yrs) : Intermediate with Telugu as a language subject. DIPLOMA COURSES (10) P.G. Diploma in Linguistics and Language Teaching (1 Yr.) (TM): Degree in any discipline. (11) P.G. Diploma in Folk Arts (1 yr.) (TM): Degree in any discipline. (12) Diploma in Sanskrit (1 year) (TM) : Degree in any discipline. (13) Diploma in Light Music (2 Yrs.) (T.M): Interest in music. Basic knowledge in reading, writing. Selection through an oral test. (14) Diploma in Film Writing (TM) (1 Yr.) : SSC or equivalent. CERTIFICATE COURSES (15) Sangeetha Visharada (4 Yrs.): Knowledge in reading and writing in Telugu and or above 12 years age. (16) Kalapraveshika in Folk Arts (1 Yr.) (TM) : SSC or equivalent. (17) Certificate Course in Modern Telugu (1 Yr.) : SSC or equivalent (for non-Telugu speaking candidates) Application form-cum-Prospectus can be obtained in person from the Director, Centre for Distance Education, Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Nampally, Hyderabad and its branches (Study Centres) Bommuru (Rajahmundry), Kuchipudi (Krishna Dt.), Warangal and Srisailam by submitting a demand draft from any nationalised bank for Rs. 250/- (Rs. 300/- by post) in the name of the Registrar, Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, payable at Hyderabad. Forms can also be downloaded from the University Website: www.telugu university.ac.in. The last date to submit the filled-in application form without late fee is 30-11-2009.
