Posters on the Hill Posters on the Hill is a highly competitive annual competition for undergraduate researchers sponsored by the Council on Undergraduate Research. The program is held each spring in Washington, D.C. 60 competitively selected student posters are displayed at the U.S. Capitol, followed by a visit with members of Congress and representatives from various federal funding agencies. Applicants submit a research abstract, the topic of which must fall into one of CUR's administrative divisions (Biology, Chemistry, Geosciences, Humanities, Mathematics/ Computer Science, Physics/Astronomy, Psychology, and Social Sciences). Each abstract should explain the work that was performed and discuss its importance for science and society. Applicants can apply online through CUR's website. The deadline for submission generally falls in November, with decisions communicated to applicants by the following February.
