INTRODUCTION  What is Immersion? Work immersion is part of the Kto12 program which prepares the student to work in partnership companies. This program is an 80 hour hands on encounter which senior high students must experience to open them to the genuine working environment setting and improve their ability learned in school. Through work immersion, the students can be ready for their big step in working and be comfortable and familiar with businessrelated conditions in line with their specialization. Students experience the social interaction in work environment that would help them as they graduate and face real life. Work immersion is useful as it enables sebior high school students to decide if what they want to have as a career. Being able to test their skills and knowledge in practice will help them develop their careers choice.

 How does immersion help in the developement of your skills? Through immersion it helps me to develop/enhance my knowledge and skills; enrich on my skills in communication and human relations and develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation, and respect for my task/works. And also through immersion it helps me to improve my selfesteem or self confidence to face other people where you go.

v

 Does Immersion prepare you to your chosen field? Explain. Absolutely yes, because of immersion I've learned how to communicate well: with formal, respect, and good attitude. And also learned how to improve my self - confidence and to discipline myself. And I believe after graduation I confidenty ready, whatever job i can get.

II.Agenda and Highlights

A.Brief Overview

\

On my first day of work immersion in Padre Valerio Malabanan Memorial School

was of course a little bit exciting. Our Immesion Teachers Ms.Madelyn Gregorio and Ms.Amor Badiola Accompanied us to the principal’s office where we oriented about the rules and regulations of the school. After that we were assigned to each classroom. And I chose to be in the kinder garten, I expect that it would be easy for me to teach them since they’re just kids. On my second day we guided the pupils in the flag ceremony and acompanied them in entering their classroom. I thaught some of the pupils on how to read well, as doing that, I really feel great for I know I showed them the sense of kindeness i’m glad that they learn from me and ofcourse I learned from them too, thought some of them were really hard to to teach, i still beacame patient for I want them have even a little improvement. On my third day of immersion, I guide and monitored the pupils until dissmissal and cleaned the classroom first before leaving. On my fourth day Ms. Laine asked us to help in cleaning the stock room. We lifted old books, woods.steels, old book shelves, school appliances, glasses and working tools. We continued working during the afternoon, we started cleaning the walls, ceiling, floor and windows. It was a bit tiring but it’s ok, what matters most is that we extended kindness and hard work. On my fifth day of immersion Sir Alvin asked me to buy portfolio’s for their paper works. When I returned at school, He asked me again to buy fasteners at Sampaguita Mart. On my sixth day, Sir Alvin asked me to have a photo copy of test papers at LCNHS. After that, he asked me again to paste something on the students notebooks, we also attached heart-

shaped neon papers at the ceiling, around 10;30 Gericho and I went to Robinsons Place to repair the printer at Ink rite shop. And on my last day of immersion, Sir Alvin asked me to buy cleaning tools at Lipa City Public Market. And after that I paste the copy of their test papers on student’s notebooks. I also encoded grades on the students report cards. I’m not yet done when Sir Alvin asked me to go to Robinsons Place to claim the printer. When, I arrived at School, everything was ready that we planned for thank’s giving celebration for the teachers. I served the food for Sir Alvin and thanked him for all he has done for me. I was extremely happy for letting us stay in their school and share my knowledge and skills to the pupils. I learned a lot from this experience and i know it would be a great help for me in the future.
