BALTIMORE COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT Integrity…Fairness…Service

April 1, 2009

FOR RELEASE: Immediately

Department Cable Program Highlights Victims’ Rights, and the Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center (MCAC) The next edition of “Police Report,” the Baltimore County Police Department’s cable TV program, will run from April 2 through April 29, 2009. The topic of the five-minute discussion in the opening segment will focus on victims’ rights, a key part of operations in the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office. Ann Brobst, Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore County, will appear in that segment. The second, longer segment, which runs about 20 minutes, will profile important antiterrorist activities of the Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center, also known as MCAC. Ever since the attacks of 9-11, the authorities have realized the essential need of law enforcement organizations at all levels to cooperate and coordinate their activities. Maryland has been a national leader in that effort, with the establishment of MCAC in November 2003. The final segment of the program will alert residents to neighborhood crime trends and ask viewers for help in identifying wanted suspects. The program is aired five days a week on cable Channel 25, only in Baltimore County. The times are: Monday: Tuesday: Wednesday: Thursday: Friday:

12:00 p.m. & 8:30 p.m. 9:00 a.m. & 7:00 p.m. 10:30 a.m. & 9:00 p.m. 10:00 a.m. & 10:00 p.m. 10:30 a.m. & 10:00 p.m.
