EXTENSION OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATION OF THE UNITED NATIONS AND THE PEACE CORPS
Whereas, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (hereinafter referred to as “FAO”) and the Peace Corps have concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter referred to as the “Original MOU”) establishing a framework for continuing collaboration on international programs and activities; Whereas, the Original MOU was signed on 25 November 2004 and came into force and effect on that date for a period of three years; Whereas, under Section XIV.1 of the Original MOU, such Original MOU may be amended and extended by a written agreement signed by both parties; and Whereas, FAO and the Peace Corps agree that, in the light of the positive outcome of cooperation activities carried out to date, they desire to extend the Original MOU for a further period of three years. Now, therefore, in accordance with Section XIV.1, FAO and the Peace Corps hereby agree that the Original MOU shall be extended for a period of three years effective from the date of signature below.
