Estudios recientes, realizados en distintos países, demuestran que del 5 al 10% de los niños en edad preescolar son obesos. A pesar de las dificultades en el tratamiento es necesario insistir en el debido a las consecuencias tan negativas que tiene dicha enfermedad, tanto en la salud médica como psicológica del niño. En el Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño desean realizar un estudio de investigación sobre esta enfermedad y su incidencia en este grupo etáreo. El Dr. Franco informa a sus alumnos que recientes investigaciones publicadas en el 2016 en Elsevier, han demostrado la mejor evidencia posible para afrontar esta enfermedad. Según el tema que se plantea realice la búsqueda de artículos científicos gratuitos con la menor cantidad de resultados posibles.
