Henningsen Property & PCC Fall Cleanup Day
Saturday, October 11th, 2008, 9:00 am to Noon A work crew of adults will finish the fall cleanup of our newly purchased property at the corner of BeavertonHillsdale Highway and Dosch Road.
There is still time to enroll your child!
We will be continue cutting and removing brush, limbs and debris along the highway right-of-way. Due to safety needs, we need responsible adults who can receive direction and follow instructions. The result of this work day will provide a much improved view of the rest of our property for people traveling along Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. Portland Christian Center is fortunate to have convenient overflow parking available to our attenders on Sunday mornings. Make an effort to park at the Robert Gray Middle School parking lot and travel by our shuttles with door-to-door service.

Ladies Bible Study Tuesdays at 9:30 AM in The Chapel Ladies, you can come together with women from our church and our community for an opportunity to connect, worship and study the Bible in a small group atmosphere. We are currently studying Beth Moore’s Living Beyond Yourself – Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Child care is available. Join us every Tuesday morning at 9:30 am in the Chapel. MOMS & KIDS Chat N’ Play Thursdays at 9:30 - 11:30 AM in the Nursery This ministry to moms provides an atmosphere where mothers’ can meet, talk and relax while their children play in a controlled and safe environment. They meet every Thursday, between 9:30 am and 11:30 am, in the Nursery at PCC. And best of all, there is no cost. You can contact the Women’s Ministry department for more information.
Faith Under Fire, Part 1 6:00 pm in Room 228 Join us for a new four-part series for October, featuring spirited discussions between well-respected Christians, people of other faiths, or people with no faith at all on important spiritual and social issues. Moderated by best selling author Lee Strobel, part one will look at issues surrounding Jesus, His resurrection, universalism, and the supernatural. Led by Pastor Joel Slater. The Gospel of Mark 7:00 pm in the Hospitality Center This study will focus on “Jesus, the Servant” as He is portrayed in the Gospel written by Mark. The miracles, parables, teachings and rejection of Jesus will be presented as we move through this fast-paced, action-filled Gospel. Led by Rod Rider. Why Men Hate Going to Church 7:00 pm in Room 227 “Church is . . . boring, full of hypocrites, greedy, etc.” You’ve heard the excuses, now understand the reasons why institutional Christianity leaves countless men cold. Through this small group for men, discuss what you can do to meet your unique spiritual needs as a man, and close the congregational gender gap. Led by LeRoy Moody, Ron Stokes and Tom Ming. Ladies Bible Study 7:00 pm in Rooms 229-230 If you can’t join us for our traditional Tuesday morning Ladies Bible Study, please join us on Wednesday nights! Deborah Group 1st & 3rd Thursdays at 9:30 AM in the Fireside Room The Deborah Group is a team of women who sews quilts, knits or crochets for various ministry projects. They have donated quilts to the Portland Rescue Mission, Teen Challenge, PCC Missions trips and many other amazing Christian organizations. They also make quilts and dolls for the graduating M’s girls. This wonderful group of ladies meet on the first and third Thursday of the month, at 9:30 am, in the Fireside Room.
