PROFESSIONAL HISTORY Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, Wheaton, IL 2/2008 – 11/2008 Director of Fund Raising and Development • Hired as first full-time professional fund-raiser. Established giving policies, wrote a strategic plan and case for giving. • Created a pledge envelope that is distributed in all District publications to build the annual fund. • Secured major gifts from Peabody Energy ($25,000), ComEd ($10,000), an individual donor ($10,000) and Comcast ($6,900) in the first six months. Chicago Public Schools, Chicago, IL • Research grant opportunities and develop proposals for the Sports Administration Department to bring in additional revenue that will renovate facilities, purchase equipment and develop student athletes.  Successfully secured a $200,000 grant from the NFL Youth Football Fund Grassroots Program, a partnership between the NFL Youth Football Fund and Local Initiatives Support Corporation, to resurface Lane Stadium with FieldTurf® in 2007.
