Roni’s House

WE LCOME ! One of the most rewarding things about Roni’s House for me is building relationships with and between children & families. It’s a privilege this fall to have familiar faces and also to welcome new ones, like M ikayla, J essi, & Cierra, and their families. Thanks to all of you for choosing Roni’s House as your family’s childcare provider! BUL LE TI N BOARD WALL : The wall inside our entryway is about to be filled with little holes. Or at least I hope it is! I t’s meant for you to use. I f you have a business card or flyer for your business, put it up. It’s helpful to all of us to obtain goods and services we need from people we have connections with. If you have things to sell or trade, or things you need, post them too. Raising children means they’re always growing in and out of clothes, shoes, toys, and equipment!

THE KIDS: We have a perfect sized group of toddlers this year, and boy are they busy! We’ll be making sure that play time is also learning time for them. Our preschool group is small, and not all of them are here every day, but you can see the schedule on the bulletin board. “Grandma Donna” uses her years of experience to help them get ready for K indergarten, and we’ll be doing our fall assessment this week, to show you where they’re at in the process. The Clubhouse is going so well! I’m proud of the way they talk to and support each other, and how they jump right in and get their homework done. During Clubhouse time, 3:15 to 5:00, I ’m with them. Donna is in charge at the daycare, assisted by Whitney. Whitney came to Roni’s House as a 1st grader, the first summer we were open here in Notus, and I’m so proud to have her back as such a responsible, hard-working young lady!

Kids Comment Jacob was playing house with the younger kids. To settle a dispute over who would care for the baby, he began to assign duties, “you be in charge of sleeping & you be in charge of bottles & you be in charge of diapers.” This caused another dispute to begin, “No, I want to do diapers,” “No, I get to do diapers.” I am just wondering, why isn’t there a grown-up who wants to have this argument with me? I’d let them win!
