Weekly Update: I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break and are ready for the final trimester. Keep working hard to get to school on time every day! Our attendance poster is filling with stamps! If you haven’t done so already, please return the signed report card envelop back to class. The report card from inside is yours to keep. Third grade is working on opinion writing. This week we read an article about school uniforms and created a bubble map. We also read an article about spiders and made a T chart and filled in a graphic organizer. Today second grade started to think about the question “How can we use natural resources and preserve natural resources at the same time?” At first it seems really challenging but as we considered water, they had many good ideas. We also took a walk around campus to find evidence of life cycles and discussed the difference between a process (like a rock eroding) and a cycle. They were able to find seeds and a wasp’s nest as evidence of life cycles.
