Weekly Update: On April 15th a guest author, Sally Bolger, will be visiting our school. Her book is titled Fun in the Mud. It is focused on life in the wetlands. An order form is being sent home for anyone who is interested in purchasing the book. Bonnie and I are getting our ARK auction item together. We plan on having the students’ bodies spell out words. In order to do this, we hope to have all of the students present. We are aiming for Wednesday, April 10th to take the photo as long as the weather cooperates. Third grade is getting really strong with their T charts and graphic organizers for informational and opinion writing. In science we focused on surface tension as we continue our study of water. Second grade started on opinion piece of writing. In science our living lifecycle lab has started in class. We have tadpoles and each student has mealworms on their desks.
