September 9, 2009 Dear parents/guardians, ! I welcome you and your students to our class! I am very excited to have your children in my class this year. Weʼre going to have a busy year ahead of us, which I will be glad to discuss with you in more detail on Back to School Night, which will happen on Wednesday, September 23 at 7:00 PM. ! Every night your child should present you with his or her planner to be signed. If there is no homework, students should still write that down and have it signed every night. Planners will be checked in homeroom the following morning. ! If at any time you have a question or concern, there are a number of way to get in contact me: 1. Write a note in the studentʼs planner. 2. E-mail me at [email protected] 3. Leave me a voicemail message. Call the schoolʼs phone number 610-853-4580. My extension is 497. I will do my best to return all contacts by the next school day. ! Last year I started a class website that turned into a great communication tool for our class at http://room132.net. I used the site to post websites for the students to access and work samples that we shared with people all over the world. I want to expand. On the form below, in addition for asking for your up-to-date contact information, I am asking for your permission to use content related to your child on the class website. I take your childʼs safety seriously, and we will discuss proper etiquette and safety procedures before going online this year. !
