Professional Experience: Medina County, Medina, Ohio: Associate Planner: March 2019 - Present Providing administrative and professional work relating to planning, zoning, and other community development issues. Providing professional competence with specialized knowledge of land use planning, zoning and subdivision review. Administering the County’s Community Development Block Grant Program. Preparing staff reports for and makes oral presentation to the Medina County Planning Commission, other boards committees, townships and the public. City of Barberton, Barberton, Ohio: Community Development Administrator: January 2018 - March 2019 Managed the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and other Grants/Grant Programs. Attended and conducted meetings and hearings and interacted with citizens, City Council members, Planning Commission members, and others. Represented the City on local, regional, statewide organizations; served as a liaison between the City and designated federal and state agencies. Previously, supported Summer Safari on the Sponsorship subcommittee, for 2019 serving as Auction Chair. Secured approximately $3500 worth of sponsorship dollars in 2018 for Summer Safari. Professionals Advocating for Wildlife (PAW) completed a Drink-To-Donate fundraiser at Akronym Brewing on November 29th, 2018, where some funds were raised ($318) that went to the Zoo’s Conservation Fund. Founder & Chair of Historic Barberton Arts Committee (April 2018 - March 2019) Created a Committee dedicated to furthering public art in historic downtown Barberton; successfully completed the design process for the completion of the mural at 2nd & Tuscarawas Avenue in Barberton. Board Member, Summit County Continuum of Care Coalition (February 2018 - March 2019) Served as a Board Member and on the Executive Board to engage organizations in a community-based process that works to end homelessness for all individuals and families throughout Summit County and address the underlying cause of homelessness and to lessen the negative impact of homelessness on individuals, families, and communities. Member, Ohio Conference of Community Development (January 2018 - March 2019) 160+ member statewide association of community and economic development organizations, dedicated since 1965, to helping develop, implement and improve federal, state and local programs for community development.
