October 1, 2008 Progress Progress is being made toward being able to open our doors. M any people have asked us what steps need to be made in order to open. Here’s what’s left to do: 1. Finish the construction of the building 2. Inspection by the health department 3. Final seal of approval from social services Our plan is to have these steps done by January of 2009. We are very grateful for more donations that have come in for the construction of the building and are pleased to say that after 4 weeks of no construction progress, we are now able to pay the workers a few more weeks of work. They will be plastering the upstairs inside walls and finishing all the upstairs electrical work.

M any people from San M arcos came and we were able to visit with new people as well as friends. In total we raised $255 dollars. This money is being used towards the Ramey’s visas. Thank you to everyone who donated items, including Ohio ZCM A youth team, Salisbury Church youth team, and the church in La Joya. Visitors from Ohio Visitors are always such fun and we were very blessed to have been visited by Pastor Andy, his wife Cindy, and the church secretary Lynne from the Zanesville Alliance church in Ohio. This was the first time they had come to San M arcos. They report of their visit, “We were impressed with the progress on the Children’s Home
