ENABLING LEARNING OBJECTIVE ACTION: PLACE THE RADIO INTO OPERATION CONDITION: GIVEN AN AN/VRC88, ANCD, AND OPERATIONAL DISTANT TACTICAL RADIO STANDARDS: RADIO PASSES OPERATIONAL CHECKS

WORK STATION SETUP 1. Follow instructions 2. SELF TEST must be complete before you put the FCTN knob in any other position.

MENU SELECTION 1. Set the Volume. - Press menu - Volume=# - To change enter number of desired level 1-9 with 0 activating the WHSP 2. Set Channel. - Press menu - Channel= # - Cue=7 Man=0 - Chan 2=2 Chan 3=3 - Chan 5=5 Chan 6=6

Chan 1=1 Chan 4=4

MENU SELECTION 3. Set Power. - Press menu - Power= LO, MED, HI, PA - Press CHG/7 to change Power setting 4. Set Mode of Operation. - Press menu - Mode= SC, FH, FH-M - Press CHG/7 until desired Mode 5. Set COMSEC. - Press menu - COMSEC=PT, CT, TD, RV - Press CHG / 7 to desired setting
