NPC Moves Into New Headquarters as Project portfolio expands to AED 4.5 Billion •

Delivered projects with total built-up area of 5.5 million Sq ft



Expected to deliver additional 2 Million Sqft by the end of 2009.

Abu Dhabi, 2 August 2009: National Projects & Construction (NPC), one of the leading Abu Dhabi based construction conglomerates, today announced moving into its new headquarters in Musaffah as part of its corporate expansion plans on the back of robust growth in business The new headquarters of the company was officially inaugurated by H.H Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, National Security Adviser, in the presence of H.H Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, senior management representatives of NPC and more than 300 guests and staff members. Commenting on the opening of the new headquarters, H.E Salem Al Neyadi, Chairman of NPC, said: “NPC has come a long way since its inception in 2003 and over the years has graduated from handling small scale projects to some of the most iconic projects in Abu Dhabi. The opening of the new headquarters represents an important milestone in the growth and evolution of the company and comes at a time of robust growth for us.” “Over the years, we have built credibility as a company that prides itself on working with the clients, advising them on the best possible course of action, while always keeping their needs and requirements a top priority, followed by respect for budgets and timely delivery,” he said. The year 2008 saw NPC consolidate its position as one of the leading construction companies in Abu Dhabi. As a part of its strategy for growth and expansion, NPC also entered into strategic knowledge and expertise sharing partnerships with a number of international companies that are leaders in handling mega-projects. Earlier in a major technological revamp, the company had sourced cutting-edge precision driven construction equipment for over AED 50 million.

“ Our staff has grown from mere 53 people, when we started in 2003, to a multinational, expertise driven 5,921 workforce. While our new headquarters will address the changing requirements of our ever growing organization, it also represents a major step in our strategic expansion plans, ” added Al Neyadi . With operations spanning building and infrastructure construction as well as mechanical and electrical services, the 40,000 sq ft NPC headquarters is envisioned to help the management to streamline operations and processes. The headquarters also has a warehouse facility aimed at facilitating better equipment management, repair and control. NPC is currently working on a project portfolio of AED 4.5 Billion, having won major construction contracts from prestigious property developers like Hydra Properties, Tamouh, Sourouh, Al Qudra, Reem Investments, Reem Properties, Royal Group and International Capital Trading,. The Rawdhat Abu Dhabi, Marina Square, Danet Abu Dhabi, The Nation Towers and the recently handed-over iconic Danet Holiday Inn Hotel in Abu Dhabi are amongst the iconic developments in NPC’s project portfolio. The company has already handedover numerous projects with a total built-up area of 5.5 million Sq ft approximately and is expected to deliver additional 2 Million Sqft by the end of 2009. Commenting on future outlook, H.E Salem Al Neyadi said: “The UAE has been strategic about its long-term growth, investing heavily in infrastructure, tourism and diversification of the economy.
