Letter from the President Hello CIAA Friends! I hope everyone is doing well and getting their budgets completed. I hope you all got everything in there you wanted—without getting it cut out by your bosses! Our NALP (National Apartment Leasing Professional) classes are running smoothly and we should have 8 new professionally certified leasing consultants among our CIAA ranks, and for that I am extremely proud. A special Thank You to Jeff Hartshorn and the West Des Moines Police Department for accommodating our class in their training room; we really appreciate it! Be on the lookout for another CAM class and a CAMT (Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician) course in 2008 from our Education Committee. At our November meeting, we will be opening up nominations for 2008 Officers of the CIAA. Part of the fun of being a memberrun organization is having different members in leadership positions with different ideas to give us a fresh perspective and focus. I would encourage anyone who has any interest to please try to make it to the November meeting or contact me directly. I know we have lots of talented people in our industry here and I really hope you can be an active part of our growing Association. If you have any questions about the positions or nominations, please feel free to call or email me anytime. In closing, I just want to thank everyone for being an involved and informed member of our industry. It is because of the great people we have in our industry that we have such a great and growing Association. Thank you all for recognizing the need for the CIAA and for being an active member. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and of course, Happy Leasing! Melissa Johnson, CAM, ARM CIAA President The Peterson Companies [email protected]

Please consider this when answering questions, especially in regards to occupancy, turnover, and concessions. Your information is not made public through this survey and is confidential. Please call any board member with questions.
