A Peek at the Week
Reading/Phonics: We will begin Unit 5: Weather this week. Our new skills to be introduced are the sounds and spellings for long e (e, e_e, ee, ea), /j/ (spelled ge, gi). HFW: done, again, carry, use, very Language Arts/Writing: We will be writing friendly letters, learning about adjectives, fact or opinion, and finding the main idea and details of a selection. Math: We will begin Unit 4: Basic Ten Structures. We will explore, represent, and visualize teen numbers. We will also learn teen addition strategies.
Social Studies: We will be learning about children around the world. Related Arts
Monday: PE Tuesday: Music Wednesday: Computer Thursday: Art Friday: Library& Spanish

Thank you to all of the generous families
who donated to our annual South Carolina/Clemson food drive. Congratulations! Clarissa and her older brother Adam won the school’s recycling contest by creating a fun habitat out of recycled materials for their hamsters. The following students earned Book-It awards for November: o Rebecca Trayvon th December 8 : Winter Concert @6pm December 18th: Winter Break Begins

If you read this newsletter, tell your child to tell Ms. Skelton the secret password is “world” on Wednesday and he or she will win a cougar token!
Homework
Read with your child each night for 20 minutes and complete the December Book It! Reading Log. Complete the homework matrix by Friday!
Box tops for Education!
We are collecting box tops for education to help fund our learning at our school. Please remember to save your box tops and send them in with your child as soon as possible. Every little bit helps!
