Vol.2, Iss.5

Mr. Fournelle Returns – By Mike Schellman John Fournelle has finally come home, after completing his internship with the Institute for Global Engagement in Washington D.C. Monday he presented the results of his research on The Theopolitical Beliefs of the Salvage Yard at Northwestern College. A number of people from the Church were there to support him and to welcome him home. The results of his research showed that our church is roughly divided into those who hold “developed political beliefs” and those who have “developed non-political beliefs” (meaning those who have well thought out reasons for participating or for not participating in politics). The unifying thread of belief that tied everyone together however, was the common conviction that politics could not solve all of humanity's problems, for that we need God. (I paraphrase here. I'm sure John could explain it much better, if you are interested I would encourage you to talk to him about it.). Welcome home John.
