Club Speech Contest z

Next week, February 10, our club will host our student speech contest here at EMQ during our regular meeting time. Members are encouraged to arrive a bit early so we can have plenty of time for our guest speakers. This year’s theme is “Rotary Pride, Make Dreams Real.”

Valentine’s Luncheon: Feb. 17th

Slate of Officers is in Need of Your Vote Last night, the Board voted to accept the following slate of officers for the 2009-2010 Rotary Year. You will be asked to vote on this slate at today’s meeting.

President: Rick Davis President-elect: Ravi Chari President-elect designee: Sue Klear Secretary: Marvin Bamburg Treasurer: Marc Wagner 

Coming Events Feb. 9: Serving @ EHC, 4:30 Feb. 10: Club Speech Contest (come early!)

Don’t forget to ask that someone special to join us for our annual Valentine’s Lunch, this year on Tuesday, February 17 at our regular meeting time. This year’s event will feature musical entertainment from Bret Harte Middle School, flowers, sweets, and a special Paul Harris presentation in honor of past member George Miskulin. We’ll plan on a larger than usual turnout with more tables and more guests. Also on our social agenda is the next no cost social event Feb. 17: Valentine’s Lunch: Bring your Sweetheart Feb. 28: Club Social: Past Presidents Mar. 2: Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Mar. 6-8: PETS

planned for Saturday, February 28 at the home of Rick and Doris Davis. Our gathering will be an opportunity to honor our many past presidents and ask them for the main accomplishment or memorable event of their presidency. You never know what we will find out!

Finally, make it a point to bring your family, friends and neighbors to Campbell’s “Our Town” production March 13-15. More info to follow. 
