Our LWC Church Family August 2009 Newsletter Special events in our Forty minutes before the kickoff time the crowds were gathering outside and the parking lot was over filled. The sanctuary at Living Word was filling with newcomers.

2009 Back to school backpack Fair

Serve The purpose of this newsletter is to keep family and friends updated on the events in our church family’s life and share our great joy across the miles.

Sharing God’s Abundant Blessings The Back to School Backpack Fair is a twofold blessing for our community first day we open for our Vacation Bible School attendants as a follow-up (which this year was an astounding 447 children who attended); and secondly to reach out to the community at large. This year we were able to give out 630 backpacks with the generous help of our family and friends. We had

630 children, their parents and siblings plus all our volunteers. Our Lord never ceases to amaze us for we know where our provision comes from, and it comes from the Lord. His word says that as we serve the people they in turn will praise our Father in heaven. To God be the Glory!

A special message from our family I praise my Lord who hears our fervent prayers for the salvation of our community. These two days have been a testament to his sovereignty. So many kids were able to have backpack to help them out and it was big blessing to be able give away 630 backpacks that i thought we were not going to be able to give away. –Victor & Griss

Shoe give away (to be announced)  We have 100 new shoes to give out. August 20, 2009 9:00-1:00 We are happy to announce that we will have a clothes giveaway day. 
