IF GOD WERE TO LEAD YOU TO STEP OUT IN FAITH IN A NEW MINISTRY ENDEAVOR THAT COULD TOUCH GENERATIONS... WOULD YOU DO IT??? Most ever yone knows and loves the wonderful stor y about the little boy who bravely stepped for ward and willingly placed all he had, five loaves of bread and two fishes, in the hands of Jesus. To those who were standing near by, this offer may have seemed quite ridiculous. Once the five loaves and two fishes were blessed by Jesus and placed in the hands of His disciples, the loaves began to multiply. These five loaves proved to be sufficient to feed over 5,000 people. Yes, with “the touch of the Master, “LITTLE BECOMES MUCH”! It’s then... the impossible... becomes possible.

Here at New Hope, we believe that God will touch the hearts of 62 people (or couples) who have the desire to place “their talents” in the hands of the Master. The question you need to ask yourself is, “Am I one of the “62” God wants to use to minister to the children of Nicaragua?

As many of you know, New Hope Children’s Foundation began More Than Conquerors Institute in the little mountain village of El Crucero in 2005. With the help of the Lord, and a “handful of caring people,” MTC finished the first year with 90 students who were educated in the basics, but more importantly, in the Word of God. Even at times when the funds were so low that the very existence of New Hope was threatened, our staff continued to accept children who could not afford to pay for an education. If New Hope had not been there for them in 2005, many of these poverty stricken children would have remained locked in their ignorance and poverty. With God’s help, New Hope has been able to graduate three classes. At this time, a number of students are finishing their degrees at

a university. Soon they will be able to take their place as Christian leaders in Nicaragua.

Although New Hope offers its students a FREE EDUCATION, we all know that an education costs. Things have changed dramatically since 2005! The number of students has grown to over 300!!! Needless to say, with this great increase of students, New Hope’s expenses have also greatly increased.

It is obvious that if New Hope is to continue to offer an excellent education in Nicaragua (most importantly a Christian education)... as well as continue to be here for the many students who are now attending New Hope’s school... additional funds are necessary. IF IT WERE IN YOUR POWER TO CHANGE THE PRESENT, AND PERHAPS... ETERNAL FUTURE OF 5 CHILDREN... WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO DO IT???

“DECHERD CHRISTIAN CENTER” STEPS UP TO THE PLATE AND HITS THE BALL OUT OF THE PARK!!! Pastor Larry Bradford from Winchester, Tennessee called Brother Ford in Nicaragua at 7:30 Sunday evening, June 28th, to report that his church would either SPONSOR or FIND SPONSORS for ALL our 7th grade students. WOW!!! That’s 37 children at $925 a month! What a “LABOR OF LOVE” Decherd Christian Center is bestowing on our 7th grade children! We are awed at the FAITH and COURAGE of this tiny congregation (less than 30 members) who DARED to take on such a CHALLENGE. Below is a picture we took today of our 7th graders getting ready for PE. Our visitors are always amazed at how neat and clean these children look when they come to school. Even though some of them may have only one or two changes of nice clothes, when they come to school they always look their best. It is difficult to imagine that many of these children are living in poverty conditions, with dirt floors and no running water or electricity. These children are thrilled to have the opportunity to attend a school like MTC. New Hope has raised the bar of excellence of education here in Nicaragua and they have stepped up to the challenge to give it their best shot. We can’t help but wonder... is there another Decherd Christian Center... just waiting in the dugout, ready to also accept the challenge... of helping New Hope change the destiny of many more precious children here in Nicaragua???
