PREFACE

Praise be to God the compiler for the presence of God Almighty, For with His grace so that this Mini Research can be solved on time. The purpose of preparing this Mini Research is one of the points of assessment that can be used as one of the handles in the teaching and learning course of Mathematical Economics courses, as well as with the hope to motivate the author so as to understand all the discussions and applications related to the learning. Thank you to the lecturer of the Mathematical Economics Mr. Sudianto Manullang, S.Si., M.Si for his guidance, so that the authors really expect criticism and suggestions that are constructive for the improvement of this Mini Research. Finally, the authors hope that Mini Research can be useful for the wider community, especially students who want to make referrals.

CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION 1.1 BACKGROUND The development of computer technology brings many changes to an application program that can be utilized to create the design of teaching and learning activities. The emphasis lies in continuous efforts to maximize teaching and learning activities as a cognitive interaction between students, learning materials, and lecturers. Especially in terms of Economics and Business Mathematics lessons in the Department of Management Faculty of Economics. Modeling and Media Development Learning the dominance of lecturers in providing learning materials is still often done. Utilization of LCD media in the classroom is still not maximal. Submission of learning materials still often rely on model examples of problem solving in front of the class with the whiteboard media and the assignment of homework. So in this study the researcher attempted to develop the model and media of learning Mathematics Economics and Business that already exist in Unit Events Course (SAP) to be combined the presentation of learning materials by using computer media. Computer systems can deliver learning directly to the students through the way of interacting with subjects programmed into the system, this is called computer-assistedteaching. Computer-assisted learning activity or better known as Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) is a general term for all learning activities that use computers, in part or in whole. Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) is a new concept that until now many types of design and implementation, untu utilized in teaching and learning process. This condition emerged as a tangible manifestation of the globalization of Information and Communication Technology.

1.2 FORMULATION OF PROBLEM The formulation of the problem of these observations are: 1. What is Computer Assisted Instruction model / CAI)? 2. What is Microsoft Mathematics? 3. How to use CAI Development and Model Learning with Microsoft Mathematics Application in Economic Mathematics Course? 4. How to develop CAI model and learning media into learning in Economics and Business Mathematics course in Management Department Faculty of Economics 1.3 PURPOSE 1. Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) model by utilizing Microsoft Mathematics Application for problem solving in Economics and Business Mathematics course; 2. Development of interactive multimedia for Economics and Business Mathematics courses; 3. Disseminate the results of model development and CAI learning media into the learning in Mathematics Course Economics and Business in the Department of Management Faculty of Economics

CHAPTER II METHODS 1.1 TYPE OF RESEARCH AND STEP LEARNING STEPS The type of this research is qualitative research, the subject is college student Learning Steps of CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) Model: 1. The lecturer explains one of the lecture materials on the relationship of two or more variables in linear and non linear, deferential, integral and matrix functions. 2. Downloading and installation of programs, introduction of menus available in Microsoft Mathematics application. 3. Students form groups, then each group to work on or solve problems prepared by lecturers. 4. the working group installs the Microsoft Mathematics program, each lecturer in Economic and Business Mathematics study independently of the application program guide both in class and outside the classroom. 5. Reflecting upon attempting to demonstrate Microsoft Mathematics applications, critiquing the weaknesses and / or flaws that may exist in this software package, completing a questionnaire about the use of learning methods and the EUCS (end user computing satisfaction) questionnaire.

CHAPTER III RESULT AND DISCUSSION The Media Design and Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) learning model for Economic and Business Mathematics expected in this research and development activity is a dynamic, interactive design. Dynamic is moving, meaning that there is a visualization of the design show animation (live image), move (not static), and display a variety of views. Interactive is between the user (in this case the student / lecturer) with the Mathematics Course Economics and Business is presented to provide basic knowledge and skills to students in performing mathematical calculations and analysis in the field of microeconomics, macroeconomics, simple financial calculations, and linear programming. So in the realm of skills in the description of this subject attempted psychomotor aspect is about how to solve the problem of Mathematics Economics and Business with the help of Micorsoft Mathematics application program. CAI is directly related to the use of computers in teaching and learning process in and out of the classroom, individually or in groups. CAI can be interpreted as a form of learning that puts the computer in the role of lecturer. In the CAI process, students interact directly with computers and the controls are entirely in the hands of students. This allows students to learn according to their abilities and choose the material according to their needs. The results of the development of models and learning media will be directly disseminated in the Mathematics course Economics and Business. So that the expected competence in this course increases one aspect of the ability to use computer aids in solving problems or problems of economic and business mathematics.

CHAPTER IV CONCLUSION AND SUGESSTION 4.1 Conclusion The use of Computer Asissted Instruction (CAI) learning model can be well implemented to explain the course material and the completion of the Mathematics of Economics and Business task with Microsoft Mathematics application. Economics and Business Mathematics Learning through Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) media can be implemented well through the use of (by utilization) Microsoft Mathematics application learning media to help deepening the concept and completion of economic and business course tasks. 4.2 Sugesstion The use of Microsoft Mathematics application software package is according to the development team is good enough if used to train the completion of the problem and know the steps of completion in the Mathematics course Economics and Business, because almost all the existing learning materials on SAP can be covered through this application program . Automatic problem solving in the enrichment of this learning material is allowed at the time of doing practicum activities and homework assignments in groups that are given lecturers to students. While in the middle and semester test the completion of the problem still have to use conventional way, because the mastery of mathematical concepts that are linked and economic and business phenomena are not all able to be explained by using the application program.
