Although not part of the Development Permit requirements, the applicant is advised that prior to the issuance of a building permit the following items will need to be finalized: h)

Landscaping (including the buffer / trail) and boulevard treatment to be secured by letter of credit; i) Compliance with the Township’s Exterior Lighting Impact Policy, including the provision of an Exterior Lighting Impact Plan to the acceptance of the Manager of Permits and Licences Department; j) Issuance of an Erosion and Sediment Control permit in conjunction with the Township’s Erosion and Sediment Control Bylaw; k) Submission of a stormwater management plan to the acceptance of the General Manager of Engineering; l) Payment of supplemental Development Permit application fees. CARRIED I.

Mayor Green reported that he had issued a Press Release regarding the Master Agreement renewal between BC Hydro and Canadian Pacific Ltd. renewal of passenger rights in respect to the Pratt-Livingstone section of the Fraser Valley Corridor. He also reported on several events he had attended in the course of his duties.

METRO VANCOUVER REPRESENTATIVE’S REPORT Mayor Green reported that he attended, among other meetings, the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors meeting regarding the Livable Region Strategic Plan meeting.

Proposed Water Management Plan Moved by Councillor Fox, Seconded by Councillor Bateman, Whereas there is considerable concern and continuing issues with wells and their draw on the aquifers in the Township of Langley; and Whereas there is need to address the issues associated with wells in an expedient manner; Therefore be it resolved that we move to implement recommendations #1, #7, #12, #13, #21 and #23 to the proposed Water Management Plan commencing immediately; and further That staff investigate funding for the implementation of these recommendations with the Provincial Government; and further That staff investigate an implementation strategy to provide an incentive to encourage residents to cap unused wells. REFERRAL Moved by Councillor Fox, Seconded by Councillor Bateman, That the Notice of Motion be referred to the Council Priorities Committee meeting scheduled for July 8, 2009. CARRIED
