MINUTES FOR MEETING 7 JULY 2009 MEETING CALLED TO ORDER BY COMMANDER JAMES TODD AT 7:00pm WITH 14 MEMBERS PRESENT. MINUTES WERE READ AND APPROVED COMMITTEE REPORTS: HOUSE: went over financial reports BASEBALL: season going well, tournament coming up, needs color guard EVENTS: had band, not best trun out but band was good SERVICE: COLOR GUARD: need people for parade,

SICK CALL: FINANCE OFICERS REPORT WAS READ, MOTION TO ACCEPT REPORT MADE BY Bob Lore SECONDED BY Nathan Subjeck APPROVED Rod received $1,500 check from Steve Gould for awning, sent check to B&C Steel, received bill from JG Elliot, motion to pay made by Bob Achziger second Nathan Subjeck, Carried OLD BUSINESS: ** Don Gable wanted to pull from vote to donate money for memorial. Have more than enough money, donation no longer needed. Hopefully will be open for memorial day. ** Looked over blueprints for awning, waiting for all permits before ordering material ** Bob Achziger reported about department convention. Breifed on resolutions passed for permanent membership. Codey Kerr award was presented to Bill West. NEW BUSINESS: ** Bob Achziger explained problem with a memorial fund that was started in name of Copeland. Had 3 members from Gering Baseball to address the issue. Rick Ediger apologized for legion getting involved in issue. Explained policy about memorials to family about meeting members.
