Current MGA members - 142 Review Kick-Off Event: Event was well received with most players enjoying the chance to play with members they don’t regularly play with. Also, the breakfast was well received. Completed Committee Items: o MGA Members as of March 2 updated to MGA Website (Doyle / Jack) o Results of Kick-Off Scramble Posted to MGA (Bob / Jack) o Reviewed previous completed to-do list, items. o List of names and email addresses of club golf members (Jay / Scott) o Hole-In-One payout process completed (4) member Hole-In-One 2019 to date. (Hal /Ashley) o Friday Night Dinner negotiated and confirmed (Ken) Mini Masters 2-Day event – Friday (4/5/2019) & Saturday (4/6/2019) before Masters week: o This is a MGA Member/member or MGA member/non-member event. o 8 - stroke rule is in effect for this event o Two-man better ball as well as add your team score to a Masters contestant. An annual highlight is the Mini-Masters drawing party on Friday night. Each team will have a masters s player selected in a random drawing by the Pro Shop or elect to buy into the lottery for one of the top 10 players. Dinner will be provided Friday night for participants. This is a gross and net scoring event. o Friday, April 5th: ▪ 1:00PM Shotgun start on Cupp Course ▪ 6:00PM Cocktails, 7:00PM Dinner, 8:00PM Drawing Party ▪ 60/40 MGA Raffle and Prize Drawings following conclusion of play ▪ (Optional Team Gross Skins Game collected prior to play) o Saturday, March 31 ▪ 9:00AM Shotgun start on Jones Course Next Event Burden Tournament - April 19 (Friday)Noon Shotgun This is a MGA Member/member or MGA member/Woodside member event. All play will be from the Burden tees. Sign up as a two-man team. The Pro Shop will then assign each two-man team with another two-man team to form a four-man team whose total handicap closely matches the field. Each four-man team will then compete in18 holes of two better ball net, using one ball from each two-man team. This is a net-only event. Discussion items: o The idea of a three-man scramble was discussed and will be entertained at a later meeting. o Photos for events will be taken by multiple MGA Committee members. o Bob Weber will work with Rob Kinard on course setup for events. o Update on Website new look with review of three different solutions which will be further evaluated in the coming months. o Update on winners & Loser data. o Discussion regarding issues brought up at March G&G meeting
