Mr. Connor stated that he' clearly recalled providing flight lessons to Hani Hanjour in August 2001. Mr. Connor checked his log book and stated that he flew with Hanjour on August 16,2001 and August 17,2001. Mr. Connor stated that Hanjour a poor student and he had particular difficulty landing the aircraft.

It was explained to Mr. Connor that the Commission may call him as a witness as part of a panel of other flight instructors at a future Commission hearing. Mr. Connor stated that he would be willing to participate as a witness.

It is recommended that Mr. Connor be interviewed in person to determine if Hanjour had any specific interests or requests, while flying an airplane in the Washington, DC area. Because of Mr. Connor's age, Commission staffers would be able to assess whether he would be a suitable witness.
