24th March 2009 10.00 – 16.30

Location: St.Ethelburga’s, 78 Bishopsgate, London EC2N 4AG.

Climate change is the biggest global challenge we face. This course provides media training especially tailored to those working on or interested in the environment and climate change. Participants will learn core media skills and gain a better understanding of how the media (broadcast and print) works.

The training day will provide: 1. M echanics of the media – how it works, news cycles and working in both pro-active and re-active situations 2. Media writing skills 3. Interview skills to build confidence and improve your organisation’s media effectiveness 4. Major environmental and climate change issues the media want to cover 5. Media schedules – when do decisions get made, when are the key deadlines

Who should attend? Anyone who wants to communicate environmental and climate change issues to the media.
