Why:
To raise awareness about sexual assault
Women’s Aid Service, Inc. is hosting our 2nd Annual Choose Consent 5K in Mount Pleasant, Saturday April 21 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace through Mount Pleasant’s park conglomerate while learning about sexual assault and consent. Individuals are able to register on-site and all participants will receive a t-shirt. Founded in 1977, Women’s Aid Service, Inc. is dedicated to providing safety and empowerment to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Our organization works to eliminate sexual victimization and domestic violence through shelter, support, advocacy, treatment and education.
