STÄUBLI are experts in industrial connection and are always developing their know-how in all industrial sectors : Automotive Engineering Aeronautics Plastics Railways Off Shore Nuclear Iron and Steel ...

A precise specification is established in conjunction with you, the customer, to define the unique parameters of your application : • type of fluid, • pressure, • temperature, • flow, • type of valving

(single shut-off, double shut-off or unvalved), • type of fitting, • non-spill requirements, • electrical connector requirements :

amperage, voltage, number of pins, • Consideration of environmental constraints such as :

temperature, particular climatic conditions, marine environment... • frequency of connection / disconnection • Space envelope available...

We design and manufacture complete personalised solutions, based on standard components : • modular couplings and electrical connectors, • guiding and centring components, • connection and locking systems... to meet your specific requirements.

MODULAR DESIGN

data circuits, control circuits and measurement

Modular design wide range of sizes of housings, inserts and number/types of pins

Safety No risks of misconnections : housings are indexed on plates and inserts are indexed within housings to avoid connection errors. Housings protected against dust and liquid splashes. Inserts with earth incorporated. Housings with attachment screw for earth wire. Reliability Excellent resistance to temperature and vibration of crimped contacts. Ease of maintenance

Range - 3 sizes of housing with straight or orientable 90° cable ports - inserts : 2 x 70 pins + earth - pin diameters : 1.5 mm to 6 mm as standard - pins : thermocouple type K (Chromel / Alumel) type N (Nisil / Nicrosil) for coaxial cable for fibre optics - insert with single pin power cable Materials - housing : aluminium with O ring sealing - inserts :

NBR synthetic rubber insulating support - silicon : on request

- pins :

silverplated alloy CuZn as standard - goldplated pins on request smooth pins - sockets with laminar contacts crimped or welded wire connections

Norms housings protected to IP 67 according to norm NFC 20.010 - CEI 529 connection of wire looms : threadings according to norm NFC 68 190

10

Housings are installed and removed via the rear of the plates for easier replacement of complete pre-cabled housings. Individual replacement of crimped pins. Assembly and disassembly of inserts via the rear of the housing by simply unscrewing the back adaptor : no need to disassemble the housing. Captive back adaptor fixing screws.

The guiding concept is always associated with the floatability concept

GUIDING PINS remove any misalignments • pre-guiding of the plates to align correctly • precise guiding of the plates before coupling connection • operation of mechanical end stop • various alternative shapes and lengths of guide pins, depending on the positioning errors of the plates to be connected

F L OATA B I L I T Y C O M P O N E N T S ensure removal of misalignments • mechanical elastic device (spring or spring washers) • elastic device incorporating rubber washers (elastic bushes)
