The McShin Foundation Mission Statement



McShin has a 4200 sq. foot recovery resource center. Approx. 1,000 recovering people pass through our center on a weekly basis, sharing their experience, strength, and hope with others.



We have 38 recovery beds in 5 recovery houses with access to 300 more in Richmond Area.



We are Virginia’s leading authentic advocacy group in the state. We consistently influence policy makers at the federal & state level demonstrating sensible policy on substance use disorders & the treatment there of.



We coach and mentor individuals in or seeking recovery.



Our peer based recovery services help the recovering person realize the value of one recovering person helping another is without parallel.



We establish recovery and transitional housing for recovering addicts returning to the community.



We work on reducing the stigma and discrimination surrounding the disease of addiction.
