Freedman’s Bureau Provided protection education and medical care. The Democratic claims are that this is  propaganda. They faced the KKK the Klu Klux Klan and unstable living conditions. Forty Acres and a Mule Freedman’s claim was that they would give every free slave and a Mule. Courts rule that  the lack of success that land taken away must be given back to the rightful owner.
